Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services Conference
The 2026 Jobs and Development Conference is a two-day global event featuring keynote speeches, a high-level policy panel, special thematic sessions, and approximately 50 research paper presentations. It provides a platform for leading academics and policymakers to discuss the latest policy-relevant research on employment and development, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries.
The conference takes place in Hong Kong, China, and is co-organized by the World Bank, UNU-WIDER, and the International Labour Organization (ILO), along with the Network on Jobs and Development, which includes research institutes such as the Development Policy Research Unit (DPRU) at the University of Cape Town, the Institute for Structural Research (IBS) in Poland, and the Institute for Emerging Market Studies (IEMS) at HKUST as the host.
