About Zoltan

Zoltan Murgulov is a Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance at Monash Business School, Monash University, where he joined in 2007. Prior to this appointment, he served as an associate lecturer at Griffith University and as a portfolio analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Murgulov teaches in the finance discipline, covering subjects such as corporate finance, investments and portfolio management, and financial institutions and instruments. He employs innovative teaching methods, including simulated trading environments, to enhance learning in corporate finance courses.

Murgulov's research focuses on company equity financing, market regulation, and emerging markets and industries. His specific interests include equity financing, IPOs and SEOs, emerging markets, market regulation, and behavioural finance. Key publications comprise "Underwriting in the Australian IPO markets: determinants and pricing" (2024, Australian Journal of Management; with Alastair Marsden, S.
