The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, and Division of Plastic Surgery are committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body and seeks to recruit academic plastic surgeons with an interest in complex reconstructive plastic surgery. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for providing high-quality training and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows, providing clinical care of patients, and/or engaging in research activities. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
