The Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Office invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager. We are seeking a capable, independent, and dynamic professional to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting student recruitment and outreach initiatives, with a primary focus on promoting the University and recruiting students from Mainland China. Native proficiency in Putonghua is required, and a solid understanding of the Mainland China educational system will be considered an advantage.
In addition, the Assistant Manager will contribute to the development of other markets as assigned by the Head of Office, ensuring the University’s recruitment strategies remain effective and competitive across diverse regions.
The appointee will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Promote the University’s undergraduate programs and admissions. Build and maintain good relationships with targeted high schools.
- Organize all kinds of student recruitment activities, including programs, events and campaigns for prospective students for Mainland China market primarily.
- Deliver admissions presentations at secondary schools and public events to promote the University.
- Initiate, plan and organize early student engagement activities to nurture potential secondary school students.
- Maintain close connections with current and graduated Student Ambassadors to support recruitment activities.
- Provide market-specific strategies and plans and new initiatives and statistical analysis of recruitment data.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of work experience, preferably in education or marketing and communication sector. The ideal candidate should be a self-driven person with excellent presentation and communication skills; and a team player with a strong sense of commitment with demonstrated maturity. He/She should enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds and be proactive in proposing new initiatives and ideas. Experience in public speaking, project and event management and data analysis is a definite advantage. Good command of written English and Chinese, and fluency in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua are essential. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
