Full Professor

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Full Professor in landscape evolution. We encourage applications from candidates who apply a diverse skill set to study landscape evolution in different environments. Specifically, we seek a colleague with expertise in sedimentology and geochemistry who considers field observations, remote sensing, and lab-based analytical techniques to charaterise and interpret records of landscape evolution. The suggested start date is July 1, 2027.

Duties

• teaching courses in earth and environmental sciences;
• supervising BSc, MSc and PhD students;
• developing an externally-funded research program;
• establish links with industry and government agencies;
• contributing to administrative and academic activities with the department and faculty.
