HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND COACHING INSTRUCTOR

Bridgewater College, Nolen School and the Department of Health and Human Science invite applications for a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track instructor in Health & Human Science beginning August 17, 2026.

We’re seeking a health and physical education educator with K–12 teaching and coaching experience who can bring practical, real-world insight into the classroom and prepare students for careers in education, health, and coaching.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Teach undergraduate courses in health and physical education and coaching
• Connect coursework to real-world K–12 and coaching environments
• Advise, mentor, and support students pursuing education and coaching careers
• Contribute to program development and continuous improvement
• Participate in departmental service and campus committees
• Support student recruitment and engagement efforts

WHAT YOU BRING

• M.Ed. or related degree
• Licensed K–12 teaching experience
• Coaching experience in a school or related setting
• Ability to translate practical experience into effective teaching
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centered learning

PREFERRED:

• Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education or related field
• Prior college-level teaching experience
