About this opportunity: The School of Nursing welcomes applications from Master’s-prepared nurse educators with clinical experience for part-time, adjunct faculty positions. Work assignments, modalities, days, times, and locations vary.
The School has clinical instructional opportunities for well-qualified nurse educators Tues. through Sun. - morning, afternoon, and evening - in our expanding undergraduate program.
Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Description: Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, modalities, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Educator, and/or Administrator Track of the MS in Nursing program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses and/or teach in the online MS in Nursing program.
- Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.
- Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment; AND
- Clinical nursing experience in area of teaching; AND
- Ability to communicate effectively; AND
- Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in higher education;
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
- Current unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment.
- National certification as an NP (if teaching in the FNP track of the MS program).
