Lecturer - Accounting Department
About the Job
These positions are part-time and will support the teaching mission of the Academic Accounting Department. Teaching duties will consist of undergraduate and master’s degree accounting courses, offered in both large lecture and smaller case discussion formats. The relevant courses are offered in Minnesota Carlson’s day, evening, and weekend degree programs in the Twin Cities. Duties and responsibilities include course materials preparation (i.e. syllabus, handouts, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, etc.); textbook selection, course delivery, evaluation of students, record keeping, management/supervision of teaching assistants, office hours, etc.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Teaching Specialist: Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years teaching experience in a closely related field
- Senior Teaching Specialist: Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 years teaching experience in a closely related industry and/or academic field, of which 4 or more years must be formal teaching
- Lecturer: Terminal degree OR Master’s degree plus 5 years of related industry and/or academic experience
- Senior Lecturer: Terminal degree plus 10 years of related industry and/or academic experience OR Master’s degree plus 15 years of related industry and/or academic experience
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred at all levels
