Management Assistant Officer
Job Description
The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is looking for an independent, self-motivated, service- and detail-oriented individual to join our Student Administration team.
In this role, you will support a range of student administration functions, including Student Exchange Programmes, Non-Graduating Programmes, Student’s Pass matters, system administration support, and student enquiries. You will also contribute to broader office operations and institutional activities as assigned.
A) Student Administration
- Student Exchange Programmes (SEP)
- Coordinate with the SEP team on getting application instructions out to faculties and collation of application materials to partner universities, where required
- Non-Graduating (NG) Programmes
- Handle full spectrum of duties and activities from processing admission applications to student’s completion of studies at NUS for assigned countries
- Student’s Pass Administration
- Process Student’s Pass (STP) re-application/extension requests and follow up on STP for these cases
- Respond to email inquiries on STP re-application/extension requests from students and internal stakeholders
- Manage/assist with the monthly bulk cancellation of STP at the university
- Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory (S/U) Options
- Assist the S/U team in handling related student enquiries / appeals
B) Other Duties
- Perform other administrative duties, and/or participate in regular and ad-hoc projects, of OUR as may be assigned. These include:
- Registration duty officials
- Examination venue administrators
- Commencement duty officials
- Manage and/or assist in activities related to general office administration.
Qualifications
- Polytechnic Diploma
- Relevant work experience in a higher education environment preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Experience in / Exposure to the following will be an advantage:
- PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
- Salesforce
- Good communication (oral and written) skills and customer-service oriented
- Organised and meticulous
- Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Team player who is self-motivated and resourceful
