Physician Scientist, Hematology/Oncology, Department of Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks an MD or MD/PhD Physician-Scientist to join our growing Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology as faculty on the tenure track. The appointee will join an outstanding Pediatric Hematology/Oncology group of clinicians and scientists with expertise in hematologic malignancies, pediatric sarcomas and embryonal tumors, central nervous system malignancies, stem cell transplant and immunotherapy, and be welcomed into the highly collaborative environment of the University of Virginia.
Ideal candidates will be wet or dry laboratory-based investigators with an exceptional record of research accomplishment and whose research programs emphasize benign or malignant disorders of hematopoiesis, central nervous system (CNS) cancers, non-CNS solid tumors of children, immune deficiency states or disorders of hemostasis. Applicants with clinical and/or translational research interests are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have at least an MD or DO degree and be board-certified/board-eligible in Hematology-Oncology.
