THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Extracellular Vesicle Analysis exists in the School of Natural Sciences at Macquarie University, as part of an ARC Discovery Project. We are seeking a qualified Research Fellow to join a team with an international reputation for producing high quality research outcomes in the area of innovative spectroscopic tools for EV analysis. The position consists of leading the development of new EV engineering platform for a better understanding of the chirality of EV for an enhanced cellular uptake.
The successful candidate will report to Professor Yuling Wang, and will undertake the following responsibilities as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow:
- Development of highly innovative platform for engineering of chiral extracellular vesicles (EVs)
- Maintenance and supervision of EV Analysis Facility at Macquarie University
- Work in supportive, collegiate team environment;
- Undertake independent research in the area of EV analysis using a serial of spectroscopic tools;
- Prepare, write, and submit high-quality research manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals;
- Collaborate with senior staff to actively seek and secure external funding, prepare and submit research proposals to external funding bodies as appropriate;
- Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within the University and with external partners, including industry where appropriate;
- Take responsibility for health and safety in the workplace;
