Postdoctoral Scholarship in Physics
Position
- You will actively work towards the preparation and defence of a PhD thesis in experimental particle physics.
- You will join an inter-university research team working on the measurement of the Higgs–charm Yukawa coupling with the CMS experiment at CERN.
- You will work closely with your supervisor, postdoctoral researchers and other PhD students at UAntwerp.
- As a member of the CMS Collaboration, you will contribute to CMS Experiment Physics Responsibilities (EPR).
- The position is based in Antwerp.
- You will also contribute to the general educational tasks of the Physics Department.
Profile
- You hold a master degree in Physics or Applied Sciences or you will have obtained it by the time of appointment.
- You can provide evidence of excellent study results.
- You have a good knowledge of English, both oral and written.
What We Offer
- We offer a doctoral scholarship for a period of two years. Following a positive evaluation, the scholarship can be renewed for another two years.
- The planned start date is 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible after that date.
