Program Manager - Student Leave of Absence

Your work will directly impact student persistence by developing individualized success plans, maintaining meaningful communication, and ensuring students feel supported before, during, and after their leave.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Strategically creates and implements timely personalized outreach campaigns focused on students who are: leaving, currently on leave, or just returning from a leave, to enhance their success and completion. Oversees the university Leave of Absence Program, updating processes when needed to ensure proper care is given to students in need while ensuring implementation of the program's mission, goals, and objectives.
- Meets with students to aid them through a smooth transition process, collects qualitative data on student needs, and establishes a relationship for future student success.
- Daily supervision of Leave of Absence Staff. Provide training, content, and updates on university resources, departmental procedures, and campus protocols. Meet with staff once a week to set clear expectations for tasks, provide support when needed, and offer opportunities for professional development.
- Manages, creates, and maintains student outreach data and spreadsheets pulled daily from university data management systems. Analyzes data for strategic planning and program and research measurement, implements necessary improvements to databases, and implements updates based on best practices.
- Provides evaluation information to assess progress toward achievement and goals of the program. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative institutional relations to ensure understanding and alignment with the purpose of the LOA process. Trains staff on new or existing LOA functionality as needed and serves as a resource for questions and concerns.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties; OR any combination of education and experience totaling six years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Banner student information systems and data management best practices.
- Four to five years of relevant experience.
- Spanish or additional language proficiency.
