Coordination and oversight of capital projects for the Department of Facilities of the University of South Carolina including overall monitoring of contract development and administration, the planning, design, bidding, construction, administration and close out phases of project performance.
Job Duties
- Coordinate with FPDC clients and college leadership to develop and manage clients or college capital project needs.
- Manage assigned capital projects from conception to user occupancy.
- Manage and participate in the procurement and Office of State Engineer Manage the designer selection process for Architects / Engineers (A/E) by collaborating with business partners on soliciting, evaluating and submitting design contracts to procurement for execution.
- Manage the Ensure A/E’s contracts and ensure process and deliverables are in compliance with the expectations of the work.
- Ensure all vendor contracts, such as A/E, are paid in a timely manner and process amendments if required.
- Participate in the bid process in accordance with state procurement guidelines by; submitting complete documentation for bid to procurement, ensuring that the A/E and procurement coordinate effectively, representing FPDC at pre-bid meetings, assisting with bid evaluations, and attending bid openings
