Research Associate
Primary Purpose of Position
This position will support, design, develop and execute research activities for primary and or secondary research projects within the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
The successful candidate will also participate in formulating research methods for both sample preparation and analysis and suggest options for improving quality and recommending solutions.
The position reports directly to the Analytical Services Laboratory Director.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have an earned Master’s degree in Chemistry (preferred) or in a discipline related to area of assignment.
- Strong Analytical skills in using HPLC with QDa, FLR, UV and RI detectors.
- Must be able to perform sample extraction, standard preparation required for chromatographic analysis.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of laboratory chemistry and / or instrumentation experiences.
