- Term: Fixed-term, full-time basis until 31 December 2026
- Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
- Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Please note that current staff wishing to be considered for secondment to this position must seek prior approval from their supervisor before submitting an application.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a VCAE Project Officer to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.
The VCAE Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the annual Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence program in collaboration with key stakeholders across the University. The role will contribute to planning, project management, stakeholder engagement and communication.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree in a relevant field, with subsequent relevant experience.
- Proven experience coordinating and delivering large-scale projects to a high standard, including the ability to draft project documentation, problem-solve and manage competing priorities to meet key deadlines.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve key outcomes.
- Proven digital literacy skills including the ability to effectively utilise Microsoft Office, learn new systems, and interpret and analyse data to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current QUT policies and practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
