About Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed Farouk Radwan is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Relations in the College of Communication at the University of Sharjah. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Cairo University (1992), a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Helwan University (1999), and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Helwan University (2003). Prior to his current role, he served in various academic positions at Helwan University in Egypt, advancing from teaching assistant to professor, and held a visiting professor position at the University of Sharjah beginning in 2009 before becoming Assistant Professor in 2010 and Associate Professor in 2019. He has also taught part-time at institutions including 6th of October University, Misr University for Science and Technology, and Ain Shams University in Egypt, as well as at the College of Applied Science in Oman.

Dr. Radwan’s scholarly and research interests include public relations, government communication, reputation management, new media, media ethics, digital media, corporate reputation, education, and sustainability. He has published studies in scientific journals in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates and has contributed to local and international conferences. He serves as a member of the Sharjah Smart Center for Climate Resilience, coordinator of international accreditation for the College of Communication, member of the institutional effectiveness and accreditation committee at the University of Sharjah, member of the continuing education and professional development center board, and trainer in the Institute of Leadership in Higher Education. He is a writer for the Sharjah 24 news website, a member of the academic committee of the International Government Communication Center in Sharjah, and serves on the editorial boards and as a reviewer for several journals. He has supervised numerous master’s and doctoral theses and participated in examination committees at both Helwan University and the University of Sharjah.
