Andrew Phiri is an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Nelson Mandela University. His qualifications include a PhD in Economics and an MCom in Economics. Phiri's research specializations encompass macroeconomics, applied econometrics, financial economics and international economics. He has been recognized as the Nelson Mandela University 2021/22 Researcher of the Year and has received the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Award.
