Rate My Professor Asa-Sophia Maglio

Dr. Asa-Sophia Maglio, Ph.D., is a full professor and the Program Director of Counselling Psychology at Adler University’s Vancouver campus. She has shaped the university’s counselling psychology master’s programs for nearly two decades, serving as program director for more than 13 years. Her leadership has kept the programs responsive to the evolving Canadian counselling landscape and aligned with the highest standards of professional training.

Her scholarship focuses on the professional development and self-care of counselors, as well as alternative healing modalities. Clinically, she works with trauma, adolescents, career development, women’s concerns, and anxiety, maintaining a small private practice in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Maglio is dedicated to preparing future counselors while advancing practices that strengthen the field and support well-being.
