Rate My Professor Assaad Farah

Dr. Assaad Farah serves as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at the American University in Dubai (AUD). He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, an M.Sc.A. in Management from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in Canada, and a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University in Canada. Dr. Farah has been a member of the AUD community since 2010 and previously served as Interim Provost beginning in August 2025, Director of Accreditation, and Dean of the School of Business. In his roles at AUD, he has contributed to the development of the School of Medicine, the expansion of undergraduate programs in Artificial Intelligence and Game Design and Development, and efforts to strengthen the university’s research profile while cultivating strategic international partnerships.

As Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Farah led initiatives that supported growth in student enrollment, research activity, and international engagement, including the launch of a B.B.A. in Artificial Intelligence in Business and a joint B.B.A. program with Manchester Metropolitan University, along with a strategic academic collaboration with ESADE. His scholarly interests include knowledge management, strategic human resource management, airline management, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Farah has also served as an executive educator and strategic management consultant advising public-sector organizations in the United Arab Emirates. He previously served on the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee and as Chair of the AACSB International Middle East & North Africa Advisory Council. Prior to joining AUD, he gained professional experience in the aeronautical and mobile industries in Canada.
