About Aurore

Doctor Aurore Val is a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Environmental Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Her research focuses on prehistoric archaeology in southern Africa, including taphonomy of fossil assemblages and human-animal interactions during the Middle Stone Age and Pleistocene periods.
