Dr. Boris Kralj is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at McMaster University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy from York University, with his doctoral studies concentrating on labour economics, as well as a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Ryerson University. Dr. Kralj specializes in health and labor economics and is a member of the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis (CHEPA) at McMaster. His research examines healthcare workforce planning, gender earnings gaps in medicine, healthcare funding models, and related topics in health economics, with publications appearing in journals including Health Economics, the Canadian Medical Association Journal, and Canadian Public Policy.
Dr. Kralj has taught economics at McMaster University, the University of Toronto, and Toronto Metropolitan University. He previously served as Chief Analytics Officer at the Ontario Medical Association for over two decades, where he led research and strategic economic initiatives. He is the co-founder and principal consultant at Perspicacity Intelligence & Analytics. Dr. Kralj continues to contribute to economic policy and analysis through his teaching, consulting, and ongoing research.
