Bruna Martins Bezerra is a professor in the Department of Zoology at the Center for Biological Sciences of the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). She earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from UFPE, a master's degree in Animal Biology from the Graduate Program in Animal Biology at UFPE, and a doctorate from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. She serves as an Associate Professor (Professora Adjunto) in the Department of Zoology at UFPE and as a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Program in Animal Biology at UFPE.
Her research interests center on the ecology, behavior, and conservation of vertebrates and their relationships with the environment. She coordinates the Laboratory of Ecology and the Projeto Galego and has contributed to studies on primate behavior, vocal communication, and conservation efforts involving species such as common marmosets and blonde capuchins. Bruna Martins Bezerra maintains an active academic profile with numerous publications in the field of behavioural ecology.
