Rate My Professor C. Muthamizhchelvan

Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan serves as Vice Chancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He is a professor in the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology and specializes in nanoscience and nanotechnology. He holds a PhD awarded in 2005 by Anna University. Associated with the SRM Group since its inception, he has held various academic and administrative positions, including serving as Director in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Kattankulathur campus until 2021.

Prof. Muthamizhchelvan has authored over 180 research publications and maintains an active profile on Google Scholar as Professor of Physics with a focus on nanoscience and nanotechnology. He has been recognized as an Honorable Guest Professor at Shizuoka University in Japan since April 2014. He has led SRMIST through key accreditation processes including ABET, IET, and NAAC. He is a Fellow of IET UK, serves as a Member of the India Development Panel of IET India, and is an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Science Congress Association in Kolkata. He holds certification in Management and Leadership Education from Harvard University. Prof. Muthamizhchelvan heads the Institution’s Innovation Council and played a key role in establishing the SRM Innovation and Incubation Centre to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty.
