Cameron D. Young is a PhD candidate and medical student at the University of Otago. He completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours (First Class) in Anatomy in 2022. His research focuses on reproductive health, anatomical sciences, and topics related to Pacific peoples, including gestational diabetes, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, and cultural aspects of sexual and reproductive health knowledge among Pacific communities.
Young has received the Fulbright NZ Science and Innovation Graduate Award. He is affiliated with the Department of Anatomy and the Centre for Neuroendocrinology at the University of Otago. His work includes publications on maternal macronutrient intake, religion and infertility experiences among Pacific Christian adults, and supporting Pacific learners in higher education.
