Rate My Professor Chiranjib Bhattacharjee

Professor Chiranjib Bhattacharjee serves as Vice-Chancellor of Jadavpur University. He joined the university as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1991 and advanced through the academic ranks to become Professor. He previously held the position of Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. He has also acted as Pro-Vice Chancellor and President of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Professor Bhattacharjee earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1998. His research specializations include membrane technology, separation processes, and environmental remediation, with particular focus on membrane separation, bio-separation, and wastewater treatment. He maintains an active research profile with more than 300 publications and over 5,000 citations. His academic career spans more than thirty years of teaching and research at Jadavpur University.
