Christine Taljaard-Krugell is an Associate Professor at North-West University in the Faculty of Health Sciences, where she is affiliated with the Centre of Excellence for Nutrition and the Dietetics-Nutrition programme. She holds a BSc in Dietetics and a PhD in Nutrition. Her expertise is in Public Health Nutrition. She has been extensively involved with the African Nutrition Leadership Programme since 2014, serving in the role of general manager. The programme focuses on developing individual and institutional leadership capacity at various levels in nutrition across the African continent and has produced more than 450 alumni in 39 African countries. She is committed to preparing students for real-world challenges by empowering them to address public health issues on both local and global scales.
