About Corinne

Dr. Corinne Lengsfeld serves as Senior Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Education at the University of Denver, where she acts as the chief research officer and primary advocate for the university’s research mission. In this role, she leads efforts to enhance scholarship, support faculty professional growth, advance knowledge, enrich student experiences, and increase university visibility. She oversees internal research support, external grants and contracts management, research integrity and protection, intellectual property and technology transfer, and several multidisciplinary institutes and core facilities. As head of graduate education, Dr. Lengsfeld manages graduate student applications, admissions, enrollment, progress monitoring, and degree awarding, while also providing leadership on enrollment strategy and cross-university collaboration. She holds a tenured faculty position as Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering and remains actively engaged in research specializing in interdisciplinary studies of meso- and micro-scale fluid systems. Her research has received support from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Defense, the State of Colorado, Keck Futures, and other organizations.

Dr. Lengsfeld earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Irvine in 1992, 1993, and 1997, respectively. She has been a member of the University of Denver community for over twenty years and previously served as Interim Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. In addition to her administrative and research contributions, she is recognized as a respected teacher, researcher, administrator, and colleague within the institution.
