Daniel Ripley is a Postdoctoral Associate at New York University Abu Dhabi. He earned his MSci and PhD from the University of Manchester. Ripley's work centers on ecophysiology, with particular attention to multi-stressor interactions and hypoxia in marine organisms. Affiliated with the Marine Biology Lab, he examines how marine life adapts to the extreme conditions of the Arabian Gulf, including sub-lethal effects of hypoxia on cryptobenthic fishes and the impacts of seasonal temperature variations on echinoderm feeding and behavior.
