About David

David Goldreich is a Professor of Finance at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He joined the University of Toronto in 2005 as an Associate Professor of Finance and was promoted to Professor in 2016. Prior to joining Rotman, he was a member of the Finance faculty at the London Business School from 1996 to 2005. His research focuses on corporate finance and capital markets, with particular emphasis on Treasury auctions, bond liquidity, and the bookbuilding method for initial public offerings. His work has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Finance, Review of Finance, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science.

Professor Goldreich holds a PhD in Financial Economics, an MS in Finance, and an MSIA from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a BS in Engineering and Economics from the California Institute of Technology. He has held several administrative roles at Rotman, including Director of Rotman Commerce from 2015 to 2019 and Academic Director of the Morning and Evening MBA Programs from 2011 to 2015. He has received numerous teaching awards at the University of Toronto, London Business School, and Carnegie Mellon University.
