David Taylor is Professor of Tropical Environmental Change and Head of the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore. He holds a DPhil and serves as Provost's Chair. Taylor joined NUS in 2012 and previously held positions including at Trinity College Dublin. His academic background includes a BSc, MA in Geography, and DPhil focused on environmental sciences.
Taylor's research centers on tropical environmental change, with particular emphasis on low latitudes, palaeoenvironmental reconstruction, and human-environment interactions in regions such as central Africa and Southeast Asia.
