Dennis Slattery is an Associate Professor in the School of Business at Southern Oregon University. He holds an MBA from Southern Oregon University earned in 1997, a BS in Accounting from Southern Oregon University earned in 1996, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Oregon. Prior to joining the faculty, Slattery accumulated 20 years of experience as a hotel executive and operated his own accounting business.
Slattery has held leadership positions on numerous boards, including serving as president of the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Ashland Visitor & Convention Bureau, chair of the City of Ashland Budget Committee, and involvement with the Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development board and the Ashland Economic Sustainability Committee. He currently serves as an elected member of the Ashland City Council and as a member of the SOU Faculty Senate. He has also received the Alan C. Bates Public Service Award from the City of Ashland for his community contributions.
