About Edina

Dr Edina Wang is a Research Associate at the UWA Medical School and the UWA Centre for Medical Research, affiliated with the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research at the University of Western Australia. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer Epigenetics from the University of Western Australia, completed between 2014 and 2018, and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from AIMST University.

Her research focuses on cancer epigenetics, with particular emphasis on breast cancer, including triple-negative breast cancer, targeted drug delivery using peptides, epigenetic editing, and therapeutic strategies involving transcription factors and metabolic reprogramming. She has contributed to publications such as studies on honeybee venom and melittin in cancer suppression, synthetic epigenetic reprogramming in breast cancer, and reviews on marine anticancer compounds. Dr Wang participates in research projects funded by organizations including Cancer Council WA and the National Health and Medical Research Council, often in collaboration with colleagues at the Harry Perkins Institute.
