Dr Elynor Moore completed her DPhil at the University of Oxford in the Oxford Bee Lab, Department of Biology. Her doctoral research, conducted in collaboration with RBG Kew and DTU Biosustain, combined chemical ecology and synthetic biology to investigate the role of sterols in bee nutrition. She is now a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft in the Department of Biotechnology. A key publication from this work is the 2025 paper in Nature titled 'Engineered yeast provides rare but essential pollen sterols for honeybees', co-authored with colleagues including Geraldine Wright. Additional publications include studies on pollen sterols published in New Phytologist in 2025 and 2021.
