Professor Eng King Tan is a neurologist affiliated with the National University of Singapore (NUS) through academic appointments at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He holds an MBBS from NUS awarded in 1989, along with MRCP (United Kingdom), FAMS (Neurology), and FRCP (Edinburgh). His primary clinical and research roles are at the National Neuroscience Institute, where he serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Academic Affairs) and Senior Consultant Neurologist, with a focus on movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease. He has received awards such as the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Award, SingHealth Distinguished Researcher Award, and the Yoshikuni Mizuno Award from the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society – Asian and Oceanian Section. Professor Tan directs research initiatives and contributes to training and policy in neuroscience and clinician-scientist development.
