Rate My Professor F Malherbe

Associate Professor Francois Malherbe is a faculty member in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Cape Town. He serves as Head of the Breast and Surgical Endocrine Unit in the Division of General Surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town. His qualifications include an MBChB, FCS(SA), and MMed(Surg) from the University of Cape Town. Malherbe specializes in oncoplastic breast surgery and endocrine surgery, with a focus on breast cancer treatment including minimally invasive and oncoplastic techniques, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and management of benign breast diseases as well as thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders.

Malherbe contributes to academic and clinical training in surgery and participates in research on sentinel node biopsy techniques, localization methods for impalpable breast lesions, and responses to neoadjuvant treatments. He holds the position of Associate Professor and maintains an active clinical practice dedicated to surgical care for breast and endocrine conditions.
