Farah Benyettou is a Research Scientist at New York University Abu Dhabi. She earned a BSc in Physical Chemistry: Structure of Biomolecules with Honors from University Paris 13 in 2005, a B.Sc. in Health, Safety and Environment from University Paris 13 in 2005, a Master of Science in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry with Honors from University Paris 13 in 2007, and a PhD in Chemistry with Honors from University Paris 13 in 2010. Her doctoral research focused on the interface of chemistry, physics, and biology, developing innovative anticancer superparamagnetic nanoparticles for drug delivery, including synthesis, characterization, and biological evaluation. During postdoctoral studies, she explored the synthesis and surface modification of porous nanoparticles, specifically Metal-Organic Frameworks, as drug carriers. In 2012, she joined the Trabolsi Research Group at NYU Abu Dhabi, where her work involves developing multifunctional and smart nanoplatforms that combine properties such as porosity and magnetism for simultaneous imaging and therapy applications.
