Rate My Professor Fui Ping Lim

Dr Fui Ping Lim is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Student Affairs at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). She holds a Master of Nursing and a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) from the University of Sydney, a Diploma in Nursing with Merit from Nanyang Polytechnic, and is a Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Lim completed her Master of Nursing in 2000, majoring in wound management, and has pursued doctoral research at the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, focusing on diabetic wound healing using cord lining stem cells in animal models including mice, pigs, and rabbits, with emphasis on immunomodulation and angiogenesis.

In her role as Director of Student Affairs, Lim oversees student-related programs and contributes to interprofessional education, house systems, and student recruitment strategies at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies. She serves as advisor for the annual Student Medical Nursing Education Conference and has been involved in teaching areas such as medical-surgical nursing, comprehensive health assessment, fundamentals of nursing, and issues for contemporary nursing. Her research interests include wound management, cell therapy, diabetic wound healing, and interprofessional education. Lim has secured research funding through grants from SingHealth, the National Medical Research Council, SGH Research Grant, and NUS Teaching Enhancement Grant, and has co-authored publications on topics including physical assessment skills, blended learning using the community of inquiry framework, and mid-career switch nursing students’ perceptions. She is cited in academic databases for her contributions to nursing research and education.
