Prof Gunnar Sigge is Associate Professor and Departmental Chair in the Department of Food Science at Stellenbosch University. He holds a PhD in Food Science from Stellenbosch University. His research focuses on postharvest biosystems and agroprocessing as well as food and water quality and safety. He contributes to departmental leadership in these areas within the Faculty of AgriSciences.
Prof Sigge serves as President-Elect of the Institute of Food Technologists. He maintains an active role in academic research and departmental administration at Stellenbosch University.
