Ms Geraldine Laven-Law is a Research Associate at Flinders University in the College of Medicine and Public Health. She works with the Bowel Health Service team at the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer. Her work involves the discovery, development and evaluation of a novel panel of non-invasive biomarkers to detect inflammation, colorectal cancer and early pre-cancerous states in people experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms.
She also holds the position of Research Manager in the 3D Chromatin Structure Laboratory at the South Australian ImmunoGENomics Cancer Institute, University of Adelaide. There she contributes to research on sex hormone action with emphasis on breast and prostate cancers. She earned a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 2012, both from the University of Adelaide. Her appointments at the University of Adelaide include Research Assistant since 2013 and NHMRC Grant-Funded Researcher since 2021.
