About Guoliang

Guoliang Lei serves as Associate Researcher in the School of Geographical Sciences at Fujian Normal University, where he also acts as a master's supervisor in Physical Geography. His academic work centers on geomorphology processes and environmental evolution along with environmental geochemistry. He employs geochemical methods such as stable isotope technology, clumped isotope technology, and geochemical elements to investigate environmental evolution. Specific areas include applications of carbonate clumped isotope technology, paleo-temperature reconstruction, regional paleo-environment reconstruction, and aspects of global change.

Lei earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lanzhou University in the College of Resources and Environment in 2004. He then completed a combined master's and doctoral program at the same college from 2004 to 2009, receiving his PhD in Science. His professional appointments include service as Assistant Researcher at the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2009 to 2011. He joined Fujian Normal University in April 2011 as Assistant Researcher in the School of Geographical Sciences and advanced to Associate Researcher in December 2014, a position he continues to hold. Lei is originally from Jixian in Hebei Province and is a member of the Jiusan Society.
