Hannah Clapham is an Associate Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She earned a BA Hons in Mathematics from the University of Oxford between 2004 and 2007, followed by an MSc in Modern Epidemiology from Imperial College London between 2008 and 2009, and a PhD in Disease Dynamics from Imperial College London between 2009 and 2013. At NUS, she has held key appointments including Programme Leader for the School's Infectious Diseases programme effective from September 2022 and Director of the Centre for Epidemic Research and Modelling (CERM) as of February 2026. She was promoted to Associate Professor with retrospective effect from 1 January 2026.
Her research centers on infectious disease epidemiology and modeling, employing mathematical modelling and data analysis to understand the transmission and control of infectious diseases. She maintains a particular interest in arboviruses and sero-epidemiology. These contributions support her roles in advancing epidemic research and infectious disease programmes at the institution.
