Heloisa Maria De Luca Vespoli is a faculty member at the Faculdade de Medicina of Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) on the Botucatu campus, affiliated with the Departamento de Ginecologia e Obstetrícia under the RDIDP regime at the MS-3.2 level. She earned her medical degree from the Faculdade de Medicina de Catanduva in 1996, completed a medical residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at UNESP from 1998 to 2001, and obtained a master's degree in Medicine from UNESP in 2002 with a thesis on the correlation between radiological imaging (BIRADS IV) and histopathological diagnosis of microcalcifications. In 2006, she completed a doctorate in Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Mastology at UNESP, with a thesis examining the anatomo-clinical aspects of the sentinel lymph node in breast cancer.

Her primary academic focus is in mastology within the broader field of medicine. She serves as vice-head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and as coordinator of the Centro de Avaliação em Mastologia (CAM) at the Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu. Her research and professional activities center on breast cancer, high-risk breast lesions, screening, prevention of breast cancer, and benign breast diseases. She has organized and participated in numerous continuing education courses, symposia, and congresses in gynecology, obstetrics, and mastology, including events on oncoplastic surgery, genetic testing, and multidisciplinary care for breast cancer patients.
