Rate My Professor Hosung Kim

Hosung Kim serves as Associate Professor of Research Neurology and Biomedical Engineering at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He also holds an appointment in the Alfred E. Mann Department of Biomedical Engineering at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Dr. Kim leads the NeuroImaging with Deep Learning Lab (NIDLL) at the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI). His research focuses on neuroimaging data analysis, medical image processing, machine learning applications in neuroscience, neurodevelopment, and neurodegeneration.

Dr. Kim earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2012. He has received the Donald E. and Delia B. Baxter Foundation Faculty Fellowship Award as well as the Sleep Research Society Abstract Excellence Award. Dr. Kim directs research efforts at NIDLL, developing analytic platforms to assess brain structure aging, structural and functional networks, and related clinical applications such as stroke recovery mechanisms.
