Rate My Professor Jie Yan

Jie Yan is a Professor in the Department of Physics and a Principal Investigator at the Mechanobiology Institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He joined the Department of Physics at NUS in 2005. Trained in theoretical physics, his research applies single-molecule biophysical methods and theoretical modeling to study molecular cell biology and mechanobiology.

Yan has received recognition including an American Physical Society Fellowship in 2015. His work focuses on topics such as force and torque sensing in biological systems, mechanical stability of molecular linkages, and related biophysical processes.
