Rate My Professor Jo Lane

Professor Jo Lane serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Division of Health at the University of Waikato, where he was appointed as the inaugural leader of the division. In this role, he leads efforts to address the health workforce crisis in Aotearoa New Zealand and supports initiatives aimed at delivering better and fairer health outcomes. Prior to this appointment, Professor Lane was Dean of Te Huataki Waiora School of Health at the University of Waikato. He previously held the position of Deputy Dean in Te Aka Mātuatua School of Science at the same institution. He earned his PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Otago. Throughout his career at the University of Waikato, Professor Lane has contributed to both scientific and health-related academic leadership. His research background is in computational chemistry, with a substantial body of publications in the field. Professor Lane is passionate about advancing health education and workforce development through his current leadership responsibilities.
