Josh Hihath is a professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University and director of the Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors. He previously served as a professor and vice chair for undergraduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis. Prior to his time at UC Davis, Hihath held positions at Arizona State University as a research professor, lab manager, and postdoctoral scholar.
Hihath received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Kettering University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. His research centers on the intersection of engineering, chemistry, biology, and physics, with a focus on understanding the electrical and mechanical properties of nanoscale and molecular systems for applications in electronics, sensing, healthcare, and energy conversion. This work supports the development of bioelectronic and biosensor technologies.
