Associate Professor Kara Vine-Perrow is a Principal Fellow in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience at the University of Wollongong. She serves as Group Leader of the Targeted Cancer Therapeutics Lab and leads research focused on the development of novel nanomedicines and medical devices for site-specific drug delivery. Her work particularly addresses challenges in pancreatic cancer treatment through next-generation drug-releasing implants and related technologies. Vine-Perrow also contributes to research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and motor neuron disease using nanomedicine and implantable devices approaches.
She holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong since January 2023 and has been recognized as a Cancer Institute NSW Career Development Fellow. Vine-Perrow supervises graduate research students and collaborates on projects involving pharmaceutical formulations for small molecule drugs, proteins, antibodies, and nucleic acids. Her research program emphasizes translational medical research in cancer therapeutics and drug delivery systems.
