Professor Chua Kee Chaing, also known as KC Chua, serves as President of the Singapore Institute of Technology. He joined the institution in September 2019 as Deputy President (Academic) and Provost before assuming the presidency. Prior to this, he spent over 30 years at the National University of Singapore, where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. His earlier roles at NUS included Vice-Dean for Research in the Faculty of Engineering from 2003 to 2006 and again from 2008 to 2009, as well as Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering starting in 1990. Professor Chua's research interests encompass wireless communications, underwater networks, and optical networks, areas in which he has contributed to multiple publications and holds five patents.
