Kelvin KC Seah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore. He serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the department and is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). His research and teaching interests are in applied microeconomics, labor economics, population economics, and the economics of immigration.
Seah received his honours and master’s degrees in economics from the National University of Singapore and his PhD in economics from the University of Otago. He previously worked as an instructor at the NUS Business School, where he taught managerial and international economics. He has also held positions as a research fellow at the Centre for Research on the Economics of Ageing at Singapore Management University and as a visiting scholar at the Office of Population Research at Princeton University. In 2025, he received the National University of Singapore Department of Economics Teaching Excellence Award for teaching in academic year 2023/2024.
